Our commercial team is located throughout the USA and is standing by to assist customers in North America, and support distribution of our Tissue products into Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

 

AMBER MCAFEE | Vice President, Sales and Marketing
(Atlanta, GA)

With Exsurco since its inception in 2010, Amber led the company’s growth into tissue and surgical settings to redefine excision science.  She supports Exsurco’s community of healthcare professional customers who are advancing the healing power of skin to patients who need it the most.

Uncovering customer needs, problem solving, and providing solutions is nothing new to Amber who started her career as a Surgical Technician and Combat Medic in the U.S. Army.  After completing active duty, she remained in the reserves and found her home in the transplant industry at Lifeline of Ohio.  Her second day on the job was the September 11th attacks on our nation and Amber knew then saving lives would become her lifelong passion.

Amber worked with the team of engineers that developed the Amalgatome® MD for skin grafting procedures in tissue donation, which since 2010 has resulted in over half a million life-saving dermal allografts for burn survivors.

She earned a Masters of Science in Business Administration, with Specialization Healthcare Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.. Her Bachelor of Science is from Emmanuel College in Boston, MA.

Exsurco is proud to be a partner of the Phoenix Society and The Spiegel Burn Foundation for Burn Survivors and an advocate for Tissue Donation Across America through Donate Life America and American Association of Tissue Banks.

In her free time, Amber likes to give back. On medical mission trip focused on surgical burn and wound procedures in Tamale, Ghana, she volunteered as Lead Surgical Assistant.

Jeff Regan

JEFF REGAN | Regional Surgical Manager
(Mission Viejo, CA)

Jeff helps clinicians in the surgical and burn setting to discover a completely new and revolutionary way to approach age old processes surrounding excision and skin grafting using the Amalgatome SD.  He helps facilities explore their needs, challenges, and build support for budgetary/value analysis processes to maximize the healing power of skin to improve patient outcomes.

Jeff brings 16 years of sales and training experience as well as business development.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from St. Joseph’s College, Rensselaer, Indiana.

Jeff spent time in England playing professional soccer and he enjoys camping, fishing, hiking,  soccer, hockey, and surfing. But his favorite hobby is spending time with his family, attending sporting events and concerts. He also gives back to the community by volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and beach clean-up activities in California.

LINDA SOPKO | Surgical Account Manager
(Osprey, FL)

Linda has a passion for making a difference in the lives of people, patients, and the products around her.  Her career has always focused on various medical devices, and as a surgical account manager she helps customers deliver patient outcomes through “the healing power of skin”.  She serves healthcare professionals to explore needs and solutions, provides training, and supports evaluations.  Her reward is knowing every day that she serves burn and trauma clinicians, they can improve the lives of patients.

Linda brings 25 years of product management and marketing development to Exsurco.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL., and a master’s degree in Healthcare Management from Webster University, St. Louis, MO.

She loves spending time with her family, watching sports and sci-fi movies, and serving drinks at their tiki bar.

Mark Avery

MARK AVERY | Surgical Account Manager
(Minneapolis, MN)

Starting as a Surgical Scrub Tech in 1986, Mark has spent the last 28 years in the burn industry.  His vast experience helps maximize clinician experience in burn surgery and other surgical applications. He continues to expand usage of the Amalgatome SD throughout the Midwest and East Coast markets.

Prior to working for Exsurco, Mark worked for various burn-injury related companies and helped introduce the first biodegradable matrix for burn patients in the U.S.  He is currently an active Executive Board Member of the North American Burns Society (NABS) and served as its President in 2002. In addition, he served for twenty years at the Great Lakes Burn Camp in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Mark is an avid skier, and also a life-long film and music buff.  He can often be found working on some sort of video or music project. However, his biggest passion is spending time with his wife and family.

ASHLYN BODENMAN | Surgical Accounts Associate
(Austin, TX)

Ashlyn enjoys demonstrating how the Amalgatome SD innovates the process of excising and skin grafting for burn surgeons and their patients.  With the Amalgatome SD she plans to show burn surgeons how this new technology can improve patient outcomes and lower surgical costs.  She conducts hands on training in the OR with the surgeons, provides reprocessing education for SPD, and discusses financials with Value Analysis Teams.

Ashlyn completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Health Education (with a Nursing Minor) in 2014 from The University of Texas. In August 2022, Ashlyn graduated from the Orthopedic Extremities and Reconstruction Trauma and Dynamic Consultative Selling from the Medical Sales College in Austin.

Ashlyn enjoys time with her family, rooting for the Texas Longhorns, sports, going to the ocean, nature and cooking.

Cara Revell

CARA REVELL | Surgical Applications Specialist
(Pittsburgh, PA)

Cara’s responsibilities include conducting in-services, delivering training programs, providing product support, conducting evaluations and support activities regarding safety, handling, operation, and maintenance the Amalgatome SDs in hospitals, burn centers, and surgery centers. Her focus is to ensure hospital staff get the best Amalgatome experience possible, as well as being in the operating room for excision and skin grafting.

Prior to joining Exsurco, Cara worked with Center for Organ Recovery and Education in Pittsburgh; as their Professional Services Liaison.   She completed her bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2014 from Carlow University, Pittsburgh, PA with a completion of autopsy specialization and has been a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) since 2016.  Cara is also a two-time poster presenter for the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB).

In her spare time Cara can be enjoys cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers & Penguins, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and her dog.

Ryan Hendrick

RYAN HENDRICK | Tissue Accounts Manager
(Fort Wayne, IN)

Ryan’s passion is training and educating customers on how Exsurco products and services add value to the work they do every day.  He serves the Tissue Bank (both Recovery and Processing) customers providing hands-on surgical training for Tissue Banks and Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs) on the use of the Amalgatome MD, SK and SD devices, dramatically increasing split thickness skin recovery yields and improving user confidence.

Trained in both our Tissue and Surgical accounts, he conducts in-services, delivers training programs, provides product support, and on-going activities regarding our products in tissue banks, hospitals, burn centers, and ORs.  He has been working in tissue banking since 2008 and is a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS).  His previous roles included Indiana University Health and also at Indiana Donor Network as a Tissue Procurement Coordinator.

Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University-Purdue and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.  Ryan also has specialized training in aseptic technique, sterilization processes, and tissue recovery. In his free time, Ryan loves watching hockey and golfing with his family.

JESSICA OSBORNE | Customer Service & Operations Support Specialist
(Wakeman, OH)

Jessica thrives on ascertaining customer needs, building rapport, and recommending solutions.  Customers look to Jessica as the point person in maintaining their accounts, confirming orders, and communicating delivery information.  Along with the Customer Service side, she supports the Service Department with issuing the Service Orders, monitoring inventory levels, shipping, and invoicing.

Jessica brings real life experience in her decade of servicing customers.  In her spare time, Jessica is an engaged mom to active children, enjoying hiking, outdoor activities and cheering-on their sports teams.

Taylor WarrickTAYLOR NICHOLS | Product Manager
(Wakeman, OH)

In her role, Taylor manages the Exsurco product portfolio to ensure the company’s medical devices provide solutions to customers’ needs.  She’s focused on New Product Development (NPD) along with design and sustaining engineering on our all products through obtaining feedback from the field team and our customers as well as sharing product information to provide seamless customer support.

She completed her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from North Carolina State University. While there Taylor worked on a design project to improve the effectiveness of dermatomes used by plastic surgeons at a local burn and trauma center.  She also studied abroad in London for 6 months where she attended Queen Mary University.

Taylor is also responsible for developing and executing marketing programs to build our franchise in the global market, drive market growth (line extensions, advertisement campaigns, and customer engagement activities), and develop strategic relationships with healthcare professionals.

An avid fitness buff, Taylor is usually training for a marathon.   Recently she completed the Chicago Marathon raising money for The Michael J. Fox Foundation and also participated in Lifebanc’s Over-The-Edge fundraising rappelling event held at the Oswald Centre in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.
