We listened.  We Watched.  We Learned.  And with hard work and dedication, we discovered a better way —  something so different —a completely new and revolutionary way to approach age old processes.  From many parts we created one- the Amalgatome product design.

Exsurco Medical has taken exisiting technology as the foundation for building blocks to innovate new products for our expanding markets.  Taking evolution of development to revolution of new products.

  • The Amalgatome® SD surgical device has its design roots based upon the successful technology of the Amalgatome® MD (for Cadaveric Use Only), which has been hugely successful in the tissue bank industry for allograft skin recovery and processing.
  • A majority of the allografts in the US are recovered today via our Amalgatome® MD. Over the past few years, this product has become the preferred method of skin recovery for donor tissue.
  • Extensive internal collaboration at Exsurco pushed the development of the Amalgatome® SD to what it is today –the first real advancement in surgical skin grafting and debridement technology in over half a century.

Exsurco Medical's product offering allows our company to proudly deliver high performing devices to tissue bank and healthcare professionals who work daily with the critical mission to deliver the healing power of skin to those who patients whose lives depend on it.

Our newest product, the multi-purpose Amalgatome® SD has the capability of delivering skin grafting and wound debridement in the same device. With varying size cutting heads, ease of use and depth adjustment during surgery, continuously operating excision ring blade, allows for efficient use of operating room time for the patient in need of the healing power of skin

Our commercial team is located throughout the USA and is standing by to assist customers in North America, and support distribution of our Tissue products into Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

AMBER MCAFEE | Vice President, Sales and Marketing

With Exsurco since its inception in 2010, Amber led the company’s growth into tissue and surgical settings to redefine excision science.  She supports Exsurco’s community of healthcare professional customers who are advancing the healing power of skin to patients who need it the most. Uncovering customer needs, problem solving, and providing solutions is nothing new to Amber who started her career as a Surgical Technician and Combat Medic in the U.S. Army.  After completing active duty, she remained in the reserves and found her home in the transplant industry at Lifeline of Ohio.  Her second day on the job was the September 11th attacks on our nation and Amber knew then saving lives would become her lifelong passion.

Amber worked with the team of engineers that developed the Amalgatome MD for skin grafting procedures in tissue donation, which since 2010 has resulted in over half a million life-saving dermal allografts for burn survivors.

Exsurco is proud to be a partner of the Phoenix Society and The Spiegel Burn Foundation for Burn Survivors and an advocate for Tissue Donation Across America through Donate Life America and American Association of Tissue Banks.

In her free time, Amber likes to give back. On medical mission trip focused on surgical burn and wound procedures in Tamale, Ghana, she volunteered as Lead Surgical Assistant.

MATT FRENCH | Surgical Account Manager

Matt gained his passion for Medical Devices when he was selected for a college internship at Biomet Orthopedics.  He then held roles with Maquet Getinge Group in the Biosurgery Division and with Tactile Medical, dedicated to advancing the standard of care in treating edema, non-healing wounds and vascular diseases.

In his free time, Matt loves to golf and visit new golf courses.  In fact, Pebble Beach Golf Course in California is on Matt’s bucket list.  He is also an avid Michigan State fan and never misses watching their basketball games.
