Quickly find answers to the questions we’ve been asked the most about the Amalgatome SD:
Apply light, even pressure and maintain contact on all sides of the cutting head with the skin.
Apply mineral oil directly into the handpiece air inlet. Reattach air hose and run the device before using on a patient.

Verify the pressure is set at 100 psi. Check all connections both at the wall and at the device. Make sure there are no occlusions in the hose, or it is not being restricted by a clamp or holder. Check to make sure there are no cuts in the hose.

Open the sterile package, then open the clamshell package like a book. Use the thumb tabs to depress the excision ring blade directly into the cutting head – TEETH DOWN. Only handle the excision ring by the outer blue strip.

The handpiece does not get assembled. The cutting head gets assembled onto the handpiece.
